"SHOUT FOR JOY TO THE LORD, ALL THE EARTH, BURST INTO JUBILANT SONG WITH MUSIC." ~Psalm 98:3-5 The Berea Congregational Church Music Ministry comprises of contemporary and traditional Christian music performed by musicians of all ages, covering hymns and songs of praise and worship.
The latest Christian contemporary material with specific focus on the youth of the Church is also offered and wide use of the modern technological advancements of today are employed to good effect in these services. All services are recorded, edited and then transferred to CD for distribution. It is our vision that video recordings for DVD will also take place in the not too distant future. The recorded services will be available on this website as soon as we are able to present them. We are actively pursuing an outreach policy and these audio and video recordings will assist in bringing God’s Word to all those who cannot physically attend Church. Our Sunday morning services (9-10am) consist of an organist and approximately 20 piece Choir leading the worship with traditional hymns. Voices Needed ……… If you love to lift you voice to praise God, then this is an invitation to you and everybody else. There is a great need for more choir members and you don’t even have to pass an audition! Just speak to David (the organist) or come along on a Thursday night for practice! A praise band (consisting of piano, guitars and singers) led by a Worship Leader, makes up our music ministry for the Sunday evening services (6-7pm). Songs range from the more traditional hymns to the latest Christian music. Folk of all ages are welcome to both services and the Church provides facilities for those who have young children (we have a cry room available). In order to achieve our vision, we are in need of skilled and willing helpers in the music, audio, video and technology fields. Anyone wishing to contribute to this ministry in any way, may contact either Lara Knight (031-7024639) or Rod Aitchison (031-2025855).
